Graduating with honours from Monash University in 1996 and attaining her FRACGP in 2001, Dr Belinda Minc is an approachable, pragmatic and experienced GP, who has been practising in Melbourne for over 2 decades. Belinda is an empathetic, clear communicator and great listener who very quickly makes her patients feel at ease.
Belinda is interested in all aspects of family medicine, with special interests in women’s and children’s health, sexual and reproductive health (including being trained to perform insertion & removal of Implanon and all types of IUDs), mental health, preventative health, and travel medicine.
She is an antenatal care affiliate, registered to provide shared care with most of Melbourne’s major public hospitals. As one of the earlier GP adopters of medical termination of pregnancy, she is passionate about providing supportive and nonjudgmental access and choice to women. She is also very committed to continuing professional development and keeping up to date with changes in her field.
Outside of work, Belinda loves to travel with her husband Rob and 2 teenage children to far flung destinations, the more off the beaten track the better. She is a fluent French speaker, and GP to many of Melbourne’s French speaking community, cycles and walks regularly for exercise and loves gardening, and is a passionate greenie who does her best to minimise her ecological footprint.
